Sanctuary is a weekly, hour-long space for rest, regulation, and reflection, designed to support nervous system balance in a demanding world.
The session draws on polyvagal theory, somatic psychology, breathwork strategies, and philosophical traditions such as Buddhism and Stoicism. Alongside guided meditation, participants are introduced to simple, practical techniques that can be gently woven into everyday life. These may include sensory regulation through marrying modern neuroscience with ancient wisdom and we will explore ways of understanding stress, neurodivergence, and modern overwhelm through both science and story.
Each session includes a short grounding preamble, a guided meditation, and optional brief reflection, sharing of accessible resources through the creative unpacking of the latest academic journals, all held within a calm, clearly facilitated container. The atmosphere is intentionally soft and restorative, with subtle sensory elements to support settling and presence.
Sanctuary is suitable for people experiencing stress, burnout, disability, or nervous system overload. No prior meditation experience is required.
