Yin yoga is relatively slow paced, mainly floor based and often stationary. There is a sense of softness, and staying in long-held poses increases our capacity for emotional flexibility and resiliency. In the physical facet, the postures are held for a long time to mainly target the connective tissues in a Yin yoga practise. The practice in general helps release tension and improve relaxation. While we explore the body and mind, we apply ancient eastern medicine theory to understand the fundamental key element for wellbeing. No yoga experience is necessary.
